T7T: Bookish Challenges I’m participating in 2020

Hi  again!

Yes, I’m late, I know but here are the 7 Reading Challenges I’m going to be participating in 2020 and their prompts.

Although their 7, I’m not doing the challenges one at a time, but reading a book and seeing, in each challenge, what prompt corresponds to it, at least until August, and then I’ll search for the books I’m missing. I’m also not going to name books right now, that’ll I’ll leave for when I finish each of them 😉

Are you ready?

🌔 Goodreads Challenge: Read 113 Books in total 🌖

For the past 5 years, I’ve been doing the Goodreads challenges in some shape or form.
The first one I just counted the books I read with no goal, and then I’ve been challenging myself between 100 and 200 books, because that’s the number I seem to read yearly (210,120, 150…), and as my favorite number is 13, there you have my challenge for this year.

Currently, I’m reading book 13, which is funny in an unplanned way. x)

🌔 PopSugar Reading Challenge 🌖

You may know Popsugar, with its fun quizzes, but they do this reading challenge every year with lots of prompts, book suggestions for every prompt, and they even have an advanced part to the challenge.
The goal here is to read 50 books total, 10 belonging to the advanced level, so it should be doable, as I’m currently at book 11.

2020 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge

🌔 Book Bingo Blackout 🌖

Book Bingo Blackout gives us 5 books to read in a period of 3 months each, but I’m just going commando here and do whatever until August, which means I’ve done 8 randomly in the figure, but if you’re participating, you can go however you want.

🌔 A to Z Challenge 🌖

This challenge is picking books that start with one of the letters of the alphabet until you do all of them, not counting prepositions in the titles.
I already did letters A, B, C, E, G, L and W.

🌔 52 books in 52 weeks 🌖

This one is quite simple, 2020 has 52 weeks in total, and you need to read 52 books, whatever you want, in this space.
You can go 1 a week, or just add the ones you finish until you’re over.
I’m not adding my psychology books in here, so I’m currently at n° 8.

🌔 Personal Reading Challenge 🌖

Each year I think of what I want to read more of, and diverse my genres and languages, so this year I want to read 12 books each of:

  • Poetry
  • Psychology (read 4)
  • Thrillers (read 1)
  • Audiobooks (listened to 1)
  • Books in french (read 1)
  • Books published in 2018 or before (read 3)
  • backlisted books in my TBR (read 2)

But, BUT, I also want to read more from Stephen King, including his movies, VS Schwab and Brandon Sanderson, which I know little of but liked their writing style before and want more.

T7T: my favorite quotes until now

Hi  again!

I think I’m over my social break. I’ve been having a weird time, psychologically and emotionally, about who I want to be, finishing my thesis, and my relationship with attention deficit disorder, that’s been in the works since October, and I’ve been trying since then to find what’s bothering me.
I’m still not 100%, but I miss writing and doing the things that I love, being creative and not in this weird stump, so hi, I’m Lia, my mind is all over the place, and so is this blog.

To start again, I want to show you my 7 favorite bookish quotes until 2020, because I’m hoping to fins some new good ones, and maybe do this every year since now.
